Who is Tillie?

Born in Brooklyn in the early 1900's and the only of 10 children born in America , Tillie was a live department store model when there was such a thing. As the years progressed and her large family grew, her home became the central hub of family entertaining -- more than anything she enjoyed cooking and frequently hosted large gatherings. Upon entering the family brownstone, guests were quickly greeted by the aroma of her infamous meals. As the family matriarch, she was meticulous, demanding and insisted on preparing her dishes “one batch at a time”.

Tillie set a certain standard for cooking and entertaining without setting out to do so. Today we maintain that standard in everything we serve. The only thing missing is Tillie herself!

Tillie’s Nassau Street Caterers has a reputation of distinction serving New York City and the Central New Jersey area.
